About Us

Spreadbet Magazine – created by REAL traders for active traders.

As active traders ourselves, we believe that we understand the industry and the issues that are important to trader and investors. Not for us the usual “backward looking” commentary that adds no value whatsoever that you find on other sites and publications, rather we look to put “our necks on the block” and provide stimulating and well researched commentary and ideas.

We also supply educational content each and every month within the magazine and which is delivered direct to your email completely for free with features supplied by a veritable who’s who of contributors including Robbie Burns who bravely bares his trading diary each and every month, Dominic Picarda – perhaps the UK’s most respected technical analyst, Alpesh Patel and many more…

Editorial Director – Richard Gill

Richard Gill has been with the T1ps.com Group since April 2007, initially writing for the AIM & PLUS Newsletter before becoming its editor a few months later along with sister publication Small Cap Shares.
His investment philosophy is focussed on cheap growth companies operating in booming sectors but with a focus on solid cash generatiion and which also offer a dividend yield as opposed to speculative “jam tomorrow” businesses and companies which are cheap, but for a good reason.

He was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in September 2012 (considered the gold standard amongst City analysts), following on from his award as PLUS Markets Financial Writer of the Year in 2008.

Richard is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, a member of the CFA Society of the UK and a Regular member of the CFA Institute. He is also a judge at the 2014 Small Cap Awards.

Editor – Zak Mir

Zak Mir has been involved with the financial markets since the early 1990s, as a stockbroker, derivatives dealer, technical analyst, investment author and financial commentator. He was among the first individuals to bring technical analysis to the mainstream in the UK and remains one of the most widely read commentators on “bulletin board” stocks and major markets alike. He founded Zaks-TA.com in 2002, one of the first dedicated technical analysis websites, and appears regularly on CNBC and Bloomberg.
